Youth Ministry @ AHUMC

The goal of our youth ministry is to help engage students in a relationship with God in relevant and practical ways. The Joint Youth Program brings together youth from Almaden Hills, Willow Glen, and Cambrian Park United Methodist churches. We have weekly programs for both Junior High and High School age groups.

Joint Youth Ministry Vision Statement

The Joint Youth Ministry exists to create a safe place for young people to grow in their knowledge of who they are and who God is. Our desire is that they cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that their spiritual gifts are encouraged, affirmed and celebrated in their youth group family. We seek to equip youth with the tools necessary to continue on a lifelong journey within the body of Christ.

Junior High Youth Group

The Joint Youth Ministry has an awesome program for 6th through 8th graders that meets weekly on Sunday nights at 5:00pm-7:00pm. We play a ton of games, eat junk food, share in prayer, meet in small groups and grow in our faith. We also offer weekly Sunday School. On a monthly basis we have Bible Studies, Leadership Team and Service Projects. Every other month we have an overnight or weekend event including retreats, sleepovers, snow trips and summer camps. High School Youth Group

The Joint Youth Ministry has a High School Youth Program for 9th through 12th graders that is rich in spiritual depth and filled with youth who are passionate about God. We meet every Sunday night from 5:00pm-7:00pm. We play games and hang out for the first hour and during the second hour we share in discussion, prayer and family (small) groups. We also offer weekly Sunday School. On a monthly basis we have Bible Studies, Leadership Team and Service Projects. Every other month we have an overnight or weekend event including retreats, sleepovers, snow trips and summer camps. The High School Youth group is led by Lisa Jacobs and Kat Kraynick. We have other volunteer staff who are involved in leading the Youth ministry and being involved in the lives of our teenagers.
