Under the leadership of John Hess, we have an excellent music program at AHUMC. The goal is to provide a music program that is both exciting and relaxing while full of energy.
On June 9, 2013 we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of John Hess as Director of Music, featuring the performance of the commissioned piece "Search Me and Know" by Ken Medema
The Chancel Choir is directed by John Hess. John is a master at tailoring the music to accommodate the unique abilities of the choir members. The choir averages 30 singers on a typical Sunday.
The Chancel Choir meets for practice on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 pm and usually sings at Sunday morning services.

Our three octaves of Schulmerich bells delight both ringers and listeners. Each fall a group of players is organized who meet for weekly rehearsals, and ring each month. Occasionally new ringers are needed to replace players who are no longer available. A very serious commitment is required to keep the group functioning well.
